Olá a todos! Aqui é a Anita. 

Welcome to my blog, a space to think together, to tell you stories, to practice language, to let you know more about my beautiful Portugal and its language.

But before diving into culture and language, I would love for you to know me a bit better and learn more about my journey of building Portuguese with Anita. 

I was born on the Alentejo coast, but I live in the Algarve today. I’ve loved letters and words since I was a little girl. I learned to read when I was five and decided I wanted to become a language teacher at ten (after a very embarrassing moment in English class that I’ll tell you about one day!).

I’ve been teaching for more than 20 years now. What started with tutoring at 13 and later teaching small groups of expats slowly became something bigger. I realized that learning a language is about confidence, about finding your voice again. Portuguese with Anita started small, just me and my lessons. Over time, through consistency and love for what I do, it grew into an international community of thousands of students from all over the world.
