Becoming a beekeeper

Olá a todos! Aqui é a Anita.

A few weeks ago, I was just curious about bees… and now I have a colmeia. I still don’t fully understand how I got here, but I’m loving it!

There’s something fascinating about opening the hive and just observing. Everything is so organized, so calm, and at the same time, so alive. There’s the rainha, the abelhas operárias, all of this little world working together without noise, without rush.

What surprised me the most is how much is happening all the time… even when everything seems calm. There’s always something to look at, something to understand.

I’m still learning. A lot (more than you can imagine).

How to move slowly.

How to not panic.

How to respect their space.

I haven’t tried my own mel yet. I’m more focused on taking care of them and understanding what I’m doing first. But I already know this is something I want to keep exploring.

It’s funny, because in a way, it reminds me of learning a language.

You don’t control everything. You don’t understand everything at the beginning. And when you start to be consistent, things start to make sense, something that felt completely new starts to feel natural.

Anyway… just wanted to share this little part of my life with you. Maybe one day you’ll get mel artesanal by Anita.
